EBYFL Extend Season to 13-May-12

Due to rain EBYFL is extending the EBYFL season from 29-Apr-12 to 13-May-12, so that teams have the opportunity to complete matches, especially the matches at U10-U18 that affect the Divisional Championship or Runners-up! This extension has been agreed with Berks and Bucks County FA. 

The Saturday dates of 5/12 May become league fixture dates and any team can be instructed to play any fixture with 5 days’ notice. League fixture dates have priority over friendly fixtures and tournaments. If a team is unable to fulfil a match scheduled for a fixture date then the match is liable to be awarded to the opposition. 

With the cooperation of the opposition teams can elect to play fixtures on any other midweek or Sunday date and they must inform and get agreement from their Div Sec who will put the fixture on full time. The Div Sec will only put the fixture on Full Time when he/she has agreement from both teams. Once a fixture is on full time then it becomes a scheduled fixture and any team that is unable to fulfil a midweek or Sunday match scheduled on full time then the match is liable to be awarded to the opposition. Do not play any fixture that is not scheduled on Full Time as it will not count for the league and cannot be scheduled retrospectively. 

Any unfulfilled fixtures after 13 May which have not been awarded due to the circumstances described above will be deemed 0-0 with no points. 

The league has reluctantly taken the decision to extend the season and it causes as many problems as it solves. Div Secs will try to schedule the most important matches for deciding championship and runner positions for Saturdays where both teams are available but ultimately we require the cooperation from teams and if necessary matches will be scheduled for Saturdays and teams will have to play. If teams do not have an available home pitch then consider switching with the opposition and/or hiring a pitch or astro.  

In summary the season has been extended and teams must play on Saturdays if told to do so and teams can optionally play midweek and Sundays although the league cannot make teams play midweek and Sundays.

EBYFL Ascot Cup/Plate Finals Postponed from 27/28-Apr-12 and Rescheduled to 11/12-May-12

The car park at Ascot United FC and walk ways in the ground are flooded and on common sense and safety grounds, I have agreed with Mike Harrison, to postpone and reschedule the EBYFL Cup/Plate Finals at Ascot United FC from on 27/28-Apr-12 to 11/12-May-12 respectively – The kick off times will remain the same.

Confirmation Of Referees

When the home team manger confirms the match details they shall also confirm to the away Team the name of the referee who will be officiating the match and confirm that he is a qualified referee, registration for the 2011/12 with a County FA and has registered with EBYFL Referee Secretary for the 2011/12 season - and provide the EBYFL referee registration number.

If the home team does not have an official that meet the above criteria, then the away team may appoint an official that does meet the criteria and confirm this to the home team. If neither the Home Team or the Away Team can arrange a Registered Referee then both Teams shall agree upon a responsible person to officiate the match. A Referee thus agreed upon shall, for that game, have the full powers, status and authority of a registered Referee.

EBYFL Managers and Coaches In Service Training Day

The EBYFL Managers and Coaches In Service Training Day will be on Saturday 29 Oct 2011. This is a half-term date and there are no matches scheduled for this day and clubs/teams are not permitted to arrange fixtures.

Please can all managers and coaches in EBYFL take the opportunity to book onto the following courses.

Junior Football Leaders Course, Bracknell Leisure Centre, 10.00am – 4.00pm

FA Skills Team - Coach Development Session, Venue Finchampstead, 10.00am – 12.00pm

Emergency First Aid Certificate, Blue Mountain Golf Complex, Time: 10.00am – 1.00pm, £20 (refundable upon completion of the course)

Safeguarding Children Workshop, Blue Mountain Golf Complex, Time: 1.00pm – 4.00pm, £20 (refundable upon completion of the course)

The Junior Football Leaders Course may be of interest to players who are interested in making the transition to coaching and please note that Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding Children expires after 3 years so please check when you current certificates are expiring and this is a good opportunity to renew which is a requirement for FA Charter Standard.

Note: For teams not drawn to play on 01-Oct-11 in a Cup or Plate Competition then in accordance with published Fixture Schedules :

 

U9s - Matches from 17-Dec-11 will be transferred to 01-Oct-11 and 17-Dec-11 will become a delay fixture date.

 

U10s-U18s - Matches from 25-Feb-12 will be transferred to 01-Oct-11 and 25-Oct-12 will become a delay fixture date.

 Constitution 2011.12

The Constitution for 2011.12 has been published and no formal protests to the structure have been made to the League Secretary in accordance with the procedures.

 

Thus the Constitution for 2011.12 is undisputed as published on The www.eastberksfa.com and The FA Full Time Website - http://full-time.thefa.com/gen/Index.do?league=7833798.

 

Therefore to prevent Club Secretaries or representatives having to travel to the EBYFL Constitution Meeting on 07-Sep-11 at Blue Mountain, with no formal protests made – The Constitution 2011.12 meeting is now CANCELLED and a formal acceptance vote of the Constitution for 2011.12 will take place at the 8pm Pre-Season General Meeting on 08-Sep-11 at Blue Mountain.

 

So on 07-Sep-11 the collection of EBYFL Registration Cards will now start at 8pm and will be the only EBYFL business on 07-Sep-11.
